I eat a variation of these pancakes almost every day. I say “variation” because you can make this recipe fit whatever macro profile you need to hit your target for day. For example, adding extra carbs and protein post workout, or more fat less carbs at night before bed.
This recipe not only has kept my sweet tooth at bay but I also used similar variations while cooking for the Man Of Steel, Henry Cavill during his bulk and lean for the highly anticipated blockbuster film: Justice League! Ingredients I Used
1 tsp butter
2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
2/3 cup egg whites
2/3 cup skim milk (or low-fat coconut milk)
2 tbsp almond flour (I also like whole wheat flour)
1 dash cinnamon
This Is How I Made It
Place a nonstick saucepan over medium heat and add the butter. Blend or whisk all of the remaining ingredients together and pour into the pan as individual cakes. (I use a small pan, the pancake will take the shape of the whole pan so don’t get crazy with a huge 15 inch pan, you’ll need mad skills to flip that baby)
When bubbles appear on the surface of the pancakes, flip it. ENJOY!
